Shabaam Sahdeeq speaks wisdom on “Get Up & Get It”

Shabaam Sahdeeq

Shabaam Sahdeeq has been busier than ever this year because he’s on a mission to “Get Up & Get It.” From his project “Timeless: of the Collection,” the track pumps Boom Bap through your speakers, featuring vocals and guitars from Jamell Richardson who was a student of the late BB King. Produced by Arcitype, the message is a motivational push from Baam, who is a well respected figure in Hip Hop. The Brooklyn native shot and directed the video with editing assistance from Tone Spliff. The visuals include footage of Baam performing live onstage, and scenes at his very own Blade Kings Barbershop in, which he opened just late last year.

The multi-talented emcee touches on the importance of health as he’s seen hitting the gym, putting in work. The grind is mandatory to get where you need to be, because no one else is going to do it for you. There’s a lot of dark toned music out that we love, but there’s also a lane for positivity that the Hip Hop community of all ages can benefit from. This song is refreshing and well intended, proving that you can be successful through dedication without having to take negative shortcuts. If you happen to be in the Conyers, Georgia area stop by Baam’s shop and get your hair looking fresh while you’re at it! -Hipnotik1
