Los Angeles based emcee XP The Marxman is still working hard after the release of his latest project, “Nomad.” This time around, he’s dropped a visual extravaganza for the track “Steel Hearts,” featuring Big Twins. Shot and edited by Kwervo Films in the City of Angels, the eye pleasing aesthetics are reminiscent of a mini motion picture. The pair was suited up in fly attire, complete with classic Chevrolets to compliment their looks. Big up to IceRocks on the production, which enhanced the smooth, bi-coastal vibe.
XP represents where he’s from, but his music is influenced by the NY boom bap sound. As a matter of fact, I coincidentally ran into XP while on a recent trip to Boston. I asked what he was doing there and he said “making my east coast rounds,” which I definitely relate to. Be sure to watch the video, which is out now, as well as the nomad project which can be found on Spotify and Apple Music. Physical copies can be ordered at xpthemarxman.com. -Hipnotik1
