It’s been a while since a female emcee has approached the game on lyrical prowess instead of glam. Here, the French-Chilean artist drops some jewels reminiscent of early ’90s “Cool Like That” crew Digable Planets. (As a side note, the fact that the latter group didn’t blow up like Black Eyed Peas is a travesty.) It’s time to dig into some of Aana Tijoux’s “1977.”
